After discussion it was agreed that the Secretary should prepare such estimates as were possible at this stage to give a general indication of the effect in a normal year of implementing Sir David Owen's recommendations.

DOCUMENTS CIRCULATED.

A memorandum compiled for the Port Consultative Committee in London showing how the functions discharged by the Harbour Master, Hong Kong, are discharged in other ports and giving the London Committee's suggested allocation of these functions between a Port Trust, a Mercantile Marine Office and a Marine Surveyor's Office, was ciroulated to members of the Committee at this meeting.

FURTHER MEETINGS.

It was agreed that until further notice the Committee would meet weekly on Mondays at 4.30 p.m. in the Council Chamber.
